Jesus Is the Real Reason for Joy

ree

Scripture:

“I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” — Luke 2:10–11

Merry CHRISTmas,

Today, we celebrate more than a moment, more than a tradition, more than a holiday.

We celebrate Jesus.

On this holy day, joy fills the story of Christ’s birth, not because the world was perfect, but because hope arrived in the middle of imperfection. Jesus was born into humble circumstances, reminding us that joy is not found in what we have, but in Who we have.

The angels declared “good news of great joy” because salvation had come. That same joy is still available to us today—joy that remains even when life is heavy, memories are tender, or expectations fall short.

If today feels joyful, thank God.

If today feels quiet, lonely, or bittersweet, know this: Jesus came for you too.

CHRISTmas joy is not dependent on wrapped gifts or full tables. It flows from the truth that God loved us enough to step into the world, to walk among us, and to redeem us.

Today, pause and take in the miracle. Let joy rise, not because everything is perfect, but because Jesus is present.

Reflection:

What does it mean for you to experience true joy today, knowing Jesus has come?

CHRISTmas Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for coming into the world for us. Help us to experience true joy today, not based on circumstances, but rooted in Your presence and love. Amen.

May the joy of Christ fill your heart today and always.

Merry CHRISTmas
