A'Londa L. Barber-Kusimo, known as ABKusimo, is an entrepreneur, international bestselling author, creative strategist, mentor, and community leader. As the owner of ABKusimo & Associates, she helps individuals, ministries, nonprofits, and businesses bring their visions to life through graphic design, branding, marketing, publishing support, and notary services.
A proud Texas native, A'Londa holds a degree in Business and Speech Communication from Sam Houston State University and is a member of Star of Hope Church under the leadership of Pastor Christopher Henderson, Sr. She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
Passionate about empowering others, A'Londa uses her gifts, faith, and life experiences to inspire people to overcome obstacles, discover their purpose, and achieve their goals. She is the author of the bestselling books Journey of a Sista on the Downlow and a contributing author to Finding Joy in the Journey.
When asked what inspires her, she shares:

More than a phrase, it is a declaration of purpose, value, resilience, and faith. It represents the journey, growth, and legacy of Dr. A'Londa L. Barber-Kusimo, known professionally and personally as ABKusimo—author, entrepreneur, creative visionary, mentor, and community leader.
A proud Texas native, A'Londa was born in El Paso, Texas, and later relocated to Dallas with her family. Her early passion for creativity led her to study dance at the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She later attended Sam Houston State University, where her interests expanded from the arts into business and communication, earning a degree in Business and Speech Communication.
A'Londa has built a strong professional foundation in customer service, communication, leadership, and creative design. Her entrepreneurial vision is embodied in her company, ABKusimo & Associates, a multifaceted brand offering services in graphic design, branding, marketing, publishing support, notary services, and creative consulting—helping individuals, ministries, and businesses bring their visions to life.
She is a devoted member of Star of Hope Church, under the leadership of Pastor Christopher Henderson, Sr., where her faith continues to be the foundation of her purpose, service, and daily walk.
A'Londa is also a transformational storyteller and international bestselling author. Her works, including Journey of a Sista on the Downlow Vol. I & II and the collaborative series Finding Joy in the Journey Vol. I & II, reflect her testimony of resilience, healing, and empowerment. Through her writing, she inspires others to overcome adversity and embrace authenticity, faith, and purpose.
Her commitment to service extends beyond business and writing into mentorship, leadership, and community engagement. She has served in various civic and organizational roles, advocates for youth and women’s empowerment, and is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
